This song was an explicit piece of propaganda to get Rodriguez Internet inducted into the Hall of Fame. Rod.net, as he was affectionately known, was HoF-worthy for being an extremely consistent small-ball batter despite having a low "star rating." Star ratings were easily-digestible summaries of players' intrinsic stats. They could be useful indications of how "good" a player was, but sometimes, as in Rod's case, they were wildly misleading as to how well the player actually performed. Rod also had a modifier which could cause him to go up to bat again after any at-bat which didn't result in an out, which would occasionally result in entire innings consisting mostly of Rodriguez Internet.
