first thing i thought of was nate smith's fantastic album "kinfolk 2: see the birds" (waterbabymusic.bandcamp.com/album/kinfolk-2-see-the-birds) but those musicians are all so good i'd embarrass myself even trying to play anything inspired by them.
i decided to take "kin" more personally and grabbed a recent video off my brother's instagram feed (www.instagram.com/mccowandrummer/). he's an actual drummer, unlike me. i took that audio and put some guitar and bass over it. i overextended myself a bit with the tempos but i'm pretty happy with the guitar parts i cooked up in no time. as with many of my guitar parts they were just on the edge of what i can play; given more time i might have gotten better takes but these were ok.
